The Katalyst Difference

With decades of industry expertise, our team brings deep knowledge and precision to every aspect of the production process. This experience not only ensures operational efficiency and consistent quality but also empowers us to anticipate and proactively address challenges. Our facility layout, workflows, and machinery have allowed us to deliver low-medium-volumes, high quality and high-accuracy results across complex projects.

Brand integrity and compliance are non-negotiables embedded in our operations. From raw material sourcing to final delivery, we maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines and industry regulations. Our facility is equipped with compliance checkpoints and quality control protocols at every stage, ensuring every product meets the highest standards and represents our clients’ brands. This rigorous approach has made us a trusted partner for companies who demand flawless execution and consistency at scale.

What sets us apart further is our comprehensive in-house capabilities. Unlike outsourced models that rely on fragmented external vendors, we manage critical functions—design, prototyping, production, and finishing—under one roof. This integration allows us to move faster, respond flexibly, and solve problems on the spot. Whether it’s an unexpected design challenge or a time-sensitive production pivot, our in-house teams collaborate in real-time to develop creative, efficient solutions without compromising quality or brand alignment.

Sobeys Personalized Tote Bag

In 2019 Sobeys wanted to create a unique experience at the Rogers Cup. With over 100,000 attendees, the challenge was to offer a personalized item, that tied into Sobeys “Bringing Family Together Around the Table” messaging that could be given to the consumer on site.

Katalyst presented Sobeys with a personalized, reusable bag. The customer would take a photo at the event and pick up their bag, with their image on it within the hour.

Katalyst oversaw:
- Developing and presenting concept
- Sourcing raw materials
- Developing computer software for printing
- Spec’d and sourced hardware for printing

Once the tech, material and solution were finalized and approved. Katalyst presented to Sobeys who had their XM Agency execute onsite. In support of the program, Sobeys purchased over 50,000 bags.

Microsoft XBOX
Console Title Guessing Game

In 2024 Microsoft Xbox approached one of our agency partners and wanted to create a board game that was very similar to a popular board game currently in market. This asked started at 6 units and quickly grew to over 60 units from a global request from Microsoft’s XBOX Social Team.

Katalyst was tasked with the overall look, feel and build from a production standpoint minus the game boards as those were taken care of by one of their trusted partners in professional 3D printing.

Katalyst oversaw:
- Developing the entirety of the hardcover box
- Look and feel, fitting and overall sizing of assets within
- Production and build of all assets minus game boards
- Handling, kitting and global logistics shipping to over 30+ countries

The program and social media presence was a grand success reaching global views in the millions.
